Pulse takes your privacy seriously. We will only use your personal information to manage our relationship with you and to provide recruitment and related services, in line with our Privacy Policy.

We process personal data relating to candidates, clients, contractors, suppliers, referees, and the guests and listeners of our podcast, On The Pulse. Everyone who works for or with Pulse adheres to the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, and understands their personal responsibility for the way they handle data. Data protection guidance is provided during induction, and all personnel are contractually required to follow our data protection policy at all times.

Pulse operates a Right to Be Forgotten process. If you would like your data erased from our systems, please contact us at enquiries@pulserecruit.co.uk. You can also read our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use and protect your personal data.

How we handle your data

When processing personal data, we follow these principles:

  • Data is obtained and used for a specific, legitimate business purpose connected to recruitment and the services we provide.
  • Processing is lawful, fair and transparent, and is always based on a valid legal ground such as consent, contractual necessity, legitimate interest or legal obligation.
  • Data is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed to support our services and our relationship with you, and no longer than necessary.
  • Data is held in a secure, access-controlled central system, protected by appropriate technical and organisational measures.
  • We only work with clients and suppliers who maintain data protection policies and practices consistent with the UK GDPR.
  • Personal data can be erased in full on request, subject to any legal retention obligations.
  • Any negligence or breach of our data protection policy is dealt with through a formal disciplinary process.
  • All data processing within the business is reviewed and overseen by our Data Protection Officer.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to be informed about how your data is used, and rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at enquiries@pulserecruit.co.uk.
