Building Out a Full Product & Tech Team from a Single Interim Brief
The Challenge
Imperial College London partnered with Pulse to support a major transformation programme across its Student Lifecycle division, centred around a large-scale Dynamics 365 CRM transformation. The programme required the rapid build-out of multidisciplinary teams capable of delivering complex digital and operational change across multiple workstreams.
The challenge was not simply sourcing individual hires but assembling and scaling high-performing delivery teams across Product, Design, Technology, and Delivery functions, while ensuring consistency, pace, and alignment across the wider programme. Imperial College London needed a partner who could move quickly, understand the nuances of large-scale transformation delivery, and provide specialist talent capable of operating within complex stakeholder environments.
The Fix
Pulse supported ICL through multiple Statement of Work engagements, delivering specialist expertise across Product Management, Delivery, Business Analysis, Dynamics Development, Solution Architecture, UX/UI Design, and Programme Leadership. Working closely with programme stakeholders, we helped shape and scale teams that could flex with programme demands while maintaining delivery momentum.
The Result
The successful mobilisation of several multidisciplinary squads supporting the ongoing Dynamics 365 transformation across the Student Lifecycle function. Through a combination of deep market expertise, network-led delivery, and a highly collaborative partnership approach, Pulse became a trusted delivery partner supporting one of Imperial’s key strategic transformation initiatives.
"Ricky quickly grasped the nuances of the key role I was hiring for, and immediately had excellent candidates lined up. One of the best hiring processes I’ve experienced. I highly recommend Ricky and the Pulse team."
